The Point of Change Jail & Street Ministry, Inc., a ministry operating with legal nonprofit status, and in good standing with the State of Maryland, administers chaplain services and spiritual care to the Charles County Detention Center, the Calvert County Detention Center, Civista Medical Center, the Robert J. Fuller Transitional Home (located in Waldorf, MD), and to the general public.  

Point of Change Jail & Street Ministry, Inc. participates in a joint collaboration with the Charles County Detention Center's classification office, called STARS (Successful Transitioning and Reentry Skills). S.T.A.R.S., offering academic training to inmates from a faith-based perspective. While the program has been a vision for several years, the project came to fruition through the initiative and leadership of Chaplain John A. Lewis in partnership with the management of the classification unit.

Point of Change Jail & Street Ministry, Inc. operates solely by donations and an army of loving and caring volunteers dedicated to changing lives, strengthening families, building community through spiritual growth and tangible empowerment.

We make financial contributions to other ministries, agencies and non-profits that share our vision and which offer extended like-services to those we serve, including but not limited to:
